This is probably the wife of George Henry Pinckney (1811-1883).

Born Mary Anne Tanner at Blackland in Wiltshire, she was the second daughter of William Tanner of Blackland House. She married George Henry Pinckney on 27 April 1842 at Blackland Church (Devizes and Wiltshire Gazette, 28 April 1842). The marriage produced at least three children.

In 1851 George gave his profession as 'Solicitor.'

In 1871 he stated that he derived his 'Income from Lands and Dividends.'

On his death in 1883 he left an estate valued £78,305.

His widow, Mary Anne Pinckney, died in Paris 8 May 1891, leaving an estate valued at £6876. The abstract of the administration of her estate describes her as 'late of Feniton Court near Honiton in the County of Devon.'
