Mrs Seton Thomson
(1833-1885)

Born Elizabeth Anna Dennistoun in or about 1833 at Germiston near Golfhill, Glasgow, her father was the wealthy and prominent Glaswegian Alexander Dennistoun, eldest son of a family of successful merchants. 

On 30 December 1862 at Blythswood in Glasgow she married her cousin Seton Thomson, a marine insurance agent. Their marriage produced at least one son, Seton Murray Thomson (1864-1949).

The couple appear on the 1881 census living at Kinnaird House in Sterlingshire. 

Mrs Seton Thomson died on 21 February 1885 at 17 Berkeley Square in London (Morning Post, 25 February 1885).
