The former Miss Susan Maria Hamond, daughter of Anthony Hamond of Westacre in Norfolk, is seen here ten days after her marriage to the Quaker banker William Birkbeck, a widower of Thorpe Grove, Thorpe, Norfolk. The couple were married at St James's, Westminster, on 14 October 1862.
