Ferdinand IV, Grand Duke of Tuscany
(1835-1908)

Born in Florence 10 June 1835, this  is the son of Leopold II, Grand Duke of Tuscany. Although styled Ferdinand IV, he never actually reigned. His father was deposed and abdicated in his favour in 1859, but Tuscany was submerged into Italy as part of the Risorgimento. Ferdinand issued a protest from Dresden on 26 March 1860.

He died in Salzburg on 17 January 1908.
