Willie and Lizzie Brown, 1869
James Jameson, Edinburgh, Scotland
carte-de-visite

A carte-de-visite showing a plaque made to commemorate the deaths of Willie, aged 2, on 31 May 1869 and, two weeks later, Lizzie, aged 3, on 14 June 1869.

William Brown and Elizabeth Anderson Brown were the children of Peter Brown and his wife Grace (née Thomson). Both children died of 'Scarlatina' (scarlet fever).

His son's death certificate describes Peter as a 'clothier' while according to Lizzie's death certificate he was a 'draper.' The 1871 census lists him as a 'Commercial Traveller (Clothing).'

Photographed by James Jameson of Edinburgh.

From an album compiled by the photgrapher.
