A pencilled inscription on the reverse of the mount reads: 'My Beloved Sarah, 1890.' Another inscription, in a later hand, reads: 'John and Sarah / Highland Park.'

Photographer and location unidentified, but certainly North American.

The print measures 4.75" by 6.8" (12.1 cm by 17.4 cm) and is mounted on a slightly larger sheet of Bristol board.
