Emma Louisa Pearson was the youngest daughter of the physician Sir William Hyde Pearson. She married Alexander Murray Tulloch (later Major-General Sir Alexander Murray Tulloch) on 17 April 1844 at St George's, Hanover Square.

Her husband died at Winchester in Hampshire in 1864.

Lady Tulloch died at Axminster in Devon on 8 June 1903, aged 84. She left an estate valued at £31,563.
