'Reproduction by order of Major Walker'

Volume 7, page 312, sitting number 9495. 

[This was acquired at the same time as the Silvy portrait of Mrs Walker, wife of Major Walker, which is adjacent. In all likelihood, it shows Major and Mrs Walker's son.]

Whether or not the portrait was taken by Silvy is another matter. It is quite possible that Major Walker brought in a carte taken by another photographer and asked Silvy to supply a few dozen more copies of it.
