The inked inscription on the reverse of this German cabinet print is written in the Gothic alphabet, which was in use in Germany until roughly the 1920's.

A wetstamp on the reverse of the mount identifies the photographer as Ludwig Schiekl of Thalkirchnerstrasse 20, Munich.

condition: The print is in excellent condition, but one edge of the mount is slightly damaged (not shown in scan).
