A cabinet card portrait of a group of Turks or Arabs. The nationality of the men is difficult to discern. One of the men is wearing a bernouse, while others are wearing a hat similar to the fez. Some aspects of their dress could be Greek or Albanian, while their upturned moustaches are strongly reminiscent of the Balkans.

Photographed by Atelier Benckert of Halle an der Salle, the largest town in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt.

condition: The print is in excellent condition. The mount shows some slight corner wear and a few small stains on its reverse.
