Mrs Uvedale Corbett, Junior
(1828-1872)
7 June 1861

Volume 4, page 35, sitting number 4209.

Born on 19 February 1828 in Hampstead, Mary Fryer was the daughter of John and Anne Fryer. She was baptised at Solihull in Warwickshire on 9 December 1832.

On 8 August 1848 at Tettenhall in Staffordshire she married barrister-at-law Uvedale Corbett (1818-1895), son of Uvedale Corbett of Aston Hall, Shropshire.

The couple appear on the 1851 census living at 15 Eaton Place South, Belgravia, with the first of their children and four servants. In all, they appear to have had five children, of which three died in infancy.

In 1861 they were living with or visiting Uvedale's parents at Aston Hall, Shifnal, Shropshire. In 1871 they were back in London living at 14 Onslow Square, Kensington.

Mrs Mary Corbett died, aged 44, on 4 May 1872.
