Mrs Emily Forster

Although she visited Silvy’s studio on 11 December 1861 and the sitter is recorded as ‘Mrs Emily Forster,’ this is possibly Miss Emily Jane Case, second daughter of John Ashton Case, who on 18 December 1861 married Major John Forster, son of Captain Henry Forster. The marriage took place at St James's, Piccadilly. 

Alternatively, this might be Miss Emily E. G. Forster, the 19-year-old daughter of Ellen Forster and sister of J. C. F. Forster; the family appear on the 1861 census, living at 1 Garway Road, off Westbourne Grove, Paddington.
