Born in 1835, Emily Sibella Prodgers was the eldest daughter of Reverend Thomas Phillpotts, the Vicar of St Feock in Cornwall.

On 3 July 1860 at St Feock she married Herbert Prodgers, 'second son of the Reverend Edwin Prodgers, Rector of Ayott, St Peter, Herts' (Morning Post, 6 July 1860).

The couple appear on the 1871 census living at Kington House in Kington St Michael, Wiltshire. Also present on the night of the census were their four children, a governess and five servants. In 1881 they were at the same address, now with five children, a governess and four servants. 

Mrs Emily Sibella Prodgers died, aged 84, on 25 April 1918 at Kington St Michael, Chippenham, Wiltshire. She left an estate valued at £2381.
