(1833-1867)
22 August 1862

Volume 9, page 101, sitting number 11,402.

[The previous sitting in the daybooks is the Honourable Mrs Tighe, presumably this sitter's mother.]

According to a report in the Morning Post (30 April 1852), Miss Theresa Tighe was presented at court by her mother, the Honourable Mrs Daniel Tighe.

Born in 1796, Daniel Tighe married the Honourable Frances Crofton, daughter of Sir Edward Crofton, 3rd Bt. On 2 May 1872 his name was changed by Royal License to Daniel Bunbury-Tighe. He lived at Rossana, County Wicklow, Ireland.

On 19 October 1864 Theresa Augusta Tighe, 'third daughter of Daniel Tighe' married the Honourable Charles St George Crofton, second son of Edward Crofton, 2nd Baron Crofton of Mote, and his wife Lady Georgina née Paget (Rosommon Journal, 22 October 1864). Their marriage produced three children.

Mrs Theresa Augusta Crofton died giving birth to her third child on 14 August 1867 at Rathdrum, County Wicklow, Ireland.
