Lieutenant Hugh St George Barton
(1839-1875)
9 April 1862

Volume 6, page 179, sitting number 7586.

Born on 19 November 1839, Hugh St George Barton was the son of  Lieutenant-Colonel Hugh William Barton of the 2nd Life Guards, latterly a resident of Letter in County Fermanagh, Ireland.

He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 60th Rifles (later The King's Royal Rifle Corps).

He died unmarried, aged 35, on 12 June 1875. His death was not registered in England or Wales and there is no trace of any will in England, so he possibly died at his father's residence in Ireland.
