Miss Emily Hamond was a daughter of Anthony Hamond of Westacre, Norfolk. On 23 February 1864 she married Charles Wigley Wicksted of Shakenhurst in Cleobury Mortimer, later Master of the Ludlow Hounds.
'On the 23rd ultimo, at Westacre, by the Hon. and Rev. John Harbord, brother-in-law to the bride, Charles Wigley Wicksted, youngest son of Charles Wicksted, Esq., of Betley Hall, in this county, and Shakenhurst, Worcestershire, to Emily, youngest daughter of Anthony Hamond, Esq., of Westacre Hall, Norfolk' (Wolverhampton Chronicle and Staffordshire Advertiser, 2 March 1864).
Mrs Emily Wicksted of Bircher Knoll, Yarpole near Leominster, in Herefordshire, died on 12 January 1916, at the age of 75. She left effects valued at £8078.
