Lieutenant the Honourable Charles North
(1840-1871)

Born on 29 December 1840, the Honourable Charles North was the youngest son of Francis North, from 1827 the 6th Earl of Guildford, and his second wife, Harriet née Warde, daughter of General Sir Henry Warde.

On 26 April 1865 he married Amy Louisa Maine, daughter of Reverend John Thomas Maine of Bighton Wood, Hampshire. 

Lt. Hon. Charles North gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the (Prince Consort's Own) Rifle Brigade. He retired in 1864.

He died without issue, aged only 30, on 10 November 1871 at Bramdean, his seat near Alresford in Hampshire.
