Miss Miller of Glenlee
6 August 1861

Volume 4, page 319, sitting number 5345.

[Identified in the Silvy daybooks as 'Miss Miller of Glenlee,' a pencilled inscription verso in a period hand gives the sitter’s name as 'Miss Constance Miller' and the sitter has signed the carte recto in the lower margin 'E. Constance Miller.']

This is probably Emily Constance Miller, daughter of Sir William Miller of Glenlee in Kirkcudbrightshire, 3rd Bt., and his wife Emily née McMahon. The family's London residence was 67 Gloucester Place, Portman Square. Lord Glenlee died there on 30 October 1861, three months after his daughter visited Silvy's studio.
