(1842-1903)
17 June 1863

Volume 10, page 294, sitting number 13,543.

Identified in the Silvy daybooks as 'Miss Evelyn Duncombe,' this is probably the daughter of the Dean of York, the Honourable and Very Reverend Augustus Duncombe. She appears on the 1871 census with her mother and her younger brother, Adolphus, living at the Deanery in Minster Yard, York. At the time of the census, Miss Duncombe was 29 years old; she gave York as her place of birth.

She appears on the 1901 census, aged 59 and unmarried, living at 49 Berkeley Square, London, still with her widowed mother, who was 91 years old.

Miss Evelyn Duncombe died, aged 62, on 21 June 1903 at 4 Lower Berkeley Street, Manchester Square, London. She left an estate valued at £38,985.
