Earl of Orford

Born on 18 April 1813, Horatio William Walpole was the son of Horatio Walpole, 3rd Earl of Orford and Mary née Fawkener.

On 11 November 1841 he married Harriet Bettina Frances Pellew, daughter of Admiral the Honourable Sir Fleetwood Broughton Reynolds Pellew. They had two daughters.

He succeeded to his titles on the death of his father on 29 December 1858, when he became the 4th Earl of Orford.

He died on 7 December 1894, at the age of 81, and was succeeded by his nephew.
