On 20 February 1843 she married the Irish peer John de la Poer Beresford, from 1859 the 4th Marquess of Beresford. Their married produced five sons.

Lord Waterford died on 6 November 1866.  His estates and titles passed to his eldest son John.

The Dowager Lady Waterford died, aged 85, on 19 May 1905 at 14 Wilton Crescent, Belgravia. She left an estate valued at £28,924.

‘We regret to record the death of Christiana Marchioness of Waterford, which occurred at her residence in Wilton Crescent shortly after noon yesterday. Daughter of the late Colonel Charles Powell Leslie of Glasslough, County Monaghan, she married the fourth Marquis [sic] of Waterford in 1843, and had been a widow since 1866. She leaves three sons, Vice Admiral Lord Charles Beresford, Lord Marcus Beresford, and Lord Delaval James Beresford’ (Morning Post, 20 May 1905).
