Mrs Standish Standish

Born Susan Jenkins in or about 1812 at Chepstow in Monmouthshire, she was the daughter of Richard Jenkins, later of Beachley Lodge, Gloucestershire. 

On 27 August 1829 at Tiddenham in Gloucestershire she married William Standish Carr, later William Standish Carr-Standish, of Bath (Newcastle Courant, 5 September 1829). The couple lived at Cocken Hall in Durham and Duxbury Park in Lancashire. 

Her husband died, aged 48, on 10 July 1856 at Cocken Hall. 

Mrs Standish Standish appears on the 1861 census, a 49-year-old widow living with her son William Standish Carr-Standish at The Oaks, Chorley, Lancashire. 

Mrs Susan Standish Carr-Standish died on 1 December 1873 at Wellesbourne in Warwickshire. She left an estate valued at £3000.
