Miss Girardot

Born on 2 October 1837 at Kingston in Dorset, Ellenor Louisa Girardot was the eldest daughter of Reverend William Lewis Girardot.
On 11 June 1863 at Hinton Charterhouse in Somerset she became the second wife of Major William Roberts Farmar, who was thirteen years her senior. Their marriage produced ten children.
Major-General Farmar, a 'general in Her Majesty's army,' died on 26 July 1896, leaving an estate valued at £1027.
His widow appears on the 1901 census living at Bedford House, Polygon Road, Southampton, with her three daughters, Beatrice, Ella and Violet.
Mrs Farmar died, aged 91, on 20 February 1929 at Bedford House, 54 Henstead Road, Southampton. She left an estate valued at £5241.
