Elise Parent

The sitter is unidentified but Disdéri used this portrait in one of his composite cartes showing some thirty-seven different dancers of the Paris-Opéra, and the sitter is clearly identified there. 

Elise Parent danced the role of 'Moyna' in the 1863 revival of Giselle which first introduced Martha Mouravieva to Paris audiences.
