Doctor James Martineau

Of enormous influence in the history of Unitarianism, for 45 years the minister and philosopher Dr James Martineau was Professor of Mental and Moral Philosophy and Political Economy in Manchester New College, the principal training college for British Unitarianism.

Reverend James Martineau, DD, died on 11 January 1900 at 35 Gordon Square, London. He left an estate valued at £29,871.
