Miss Isabella Hoare

Lydia Jane Isabella Hoare was born at Godstone in Surrey on 9 August 1829, the eighth child and only daughter of Charles James Hoare, for many years Vicar of Godstone, near Reigate, and from 1849 the Archdeacon of Surrey.

At the time of the 1861 census she was living at the vicarage in Godstone with her parents and their eight servants. At the time of the 1881 census she was living at the rectory in Godstone with her brother, George Tooker Hoare, Rector of Godstone.

Miss Hoare never married. She died, aged 87, on 4 August 1917 at Shere in Surrey.
