Volume 5, page 108, sitting number 5926.
According to the 1861 Medical Register, Doctor Adolphus William Leodore Colomiati-Meredyth resided at 76 Margaret Street, London, and was a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. The 1871 census shows him still at the same address, and gives his age as 40, so he would have born in 1831, and therefore about 30 when this photograph was taken. He was born in London.
A London Directory of 1879 lists him as 'Physician and Accoucheur' at the French Hospital, Leicester Place.
His death was remembered in the Morning Post (21 November 1884) a year after it occurred: 'On the 21st of November, 1883, at Ongers, France, William L. A. Colomati Meredyth, M.D., M.R.C.S., of 10, George-street, Hanover-square, aged fifty-one. (In loving memory).'
