Nina Ralli
(1827-1878)

Born in Malta on 27 August 1827, Nina Mavrocordatou was the daughter of Pavlos (‘Paul’) Mavrocordato (variously also Mavrocordatos, Mavrogordato or Maurogordato). Her mother was Franga née Petrokokkinou.
On 4 July 1849, at the Church of Our Saviour, London Wall, she married Antonio Alexander Ralli, son of Alexander Ralli.
The marriage produced nine children.
The family appear on the 1861 census living at 102 Westbourne Terrace, a row of grand, residential, white stucco houses in London’s Paddington.
Mina Ralli died, aged 51, on 17 September 1878 at 102 Westbourne Terrace, London.
She was buried in the Ralli family mausoleum in the Greek Orthodox enclosure in West Norwood Cemetery, South London.
