The Honourable Mrs Anne Westenra

[The sitter is identified as ‘The Hon.ble Mrs Westenra’ in the Silvy daybooks. The following entry is her daughter; she is identified as ‘Miss M. Westenra,’ underneath which a later hand has pencilled ‘now Lady Hastings.’]
Born on 12 April 1808, Anne Daubuz was the daughter of Louis Charles Daubuz. She was baptised on 12 April 1809 at Truro in Cornwall.
On 23 July 1842 she became the second wife of Lieutenant-Colonel the Honourable John Craven Westenra of the Scots Fusilier Guards, third son of Warner William Westenra, 2nd Baron Rossmore of Monaghan. From 1837 to 1852 her husband was the Member of Parliament for King’s County [Offaly} in Ireland.
Their marriage produced one daughter, who married Viscount Hastings in 1867 and later became the Countess of Huntingdon.
The Honourable Mrs Anne Westenra died on 5 July 1882 at Wraymount in King’s County [Offaly] in Ireland. Her personal estate in England was valued at £5270.
