Princess Christine Bonaparte de Canino
(1842-1907)

Identified verso as 'Princesse Christine Bonaparte de Canino,' this is possibly the wife of Napoléon Charles Bonaparte, third son of Charles Lucien Bonaparte, 2nd Prince of Canino. 

Born Maria Cristina Ruspoli in 1842, she was the daughter of Giovanni Nepomucene Ruspoli, 5th Prince of Cerveteri. She married Napoléon Charles Bonaparte in Rome on 25 November 1859. Their marriage produced three daughters. 

Her husband eventually succeeded his older brothers and became the 5th Prince of Canino and Musignano in 1895. 

Princess Christine Bonaparte, Princess of Canino, died in 1907.
