Edward Augustus Williams was born in or about 1804 at Humber in Herefordshire.
He appears on the 1851 census, an unmarried 'Surgeon, MCS' [Member of the College of Surgeons] living at Bromley at Kent.
When the census was taken in 1871 he was a 'Retired Surgeon' living at 61 High Street, Bromley. The household included a housekeeper and a groom.
Edward Augustus Williams died, aged 71, on 31 May 1875 at 61 High Street, Bromley. He left an estate value at £70,000.
