[The sitter is identified as ‘Mrs J.S. Parks’ in the Silvy daybooks. A pencilled inscription verso in a period hand reads ‘Mrs J.D. Letts,’ presumably the original recipient of the carte. Almeira Rose Letts was the wife of Reverend John Davis Letts, the Vicar of St Anne’s in West Hackney.]
