This is possibly the wife of Lieutenant-Colonel Edward Warde of the Royal Artillery, later General Sir Edward Warde, K.C.B., Commander of the Garrison at Woolwich. 

Born Jane Lane in Edinburgh in 1817, she was the daughter of Reverend Charles Lane and his wife Frances Catherine née Sandford. She married Warde in Deal on 24 August 1843. She died in Brighton in 1895.
