Arthur T. F. Clay

Born in London on 9 December 1842, Arthur Temple Felix Clay was the third son of the 1st Baronet of Fulwell Lodge, Middlesex. He studied at Trinity College, Cambridge and was called to the Bar by the Inner Temple.
On 1 June 1869 he married Margaret Barclay, daughter of Arthur Kett Barclay and Maria Octavia née Wright.
On 30 June 1878, he succeeded his brother, becoming the 4th Baronet. An accomplilshed artist, for years he exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy and portraits by him hang, or at one time hung, in several public buildings.
He appears on the 1901 census living at 19 Hyde Park Gate in London with his wife Margaret and seven servants. He died at that address on 18 March 1928, aged 85. His estate was valued at £7662.
