Lady Isabella Emma Schuster

Born Lady Isabella Emma Elizabeth Fitzmaurice in 1832, she was the daughter of the 5th Earl of Orkney. She married Samuel Leo Schuster on 11 October 1858. Her husband was the son of the railway entrepreneur Leo Schuster, director of the London-Brighton railway.
The couple appear on the 1861 census, living at 18 Queen’s Gate, on the south side of Hyde Park, with their young son and daughter, and four servants. Leo Schuster gave as his profession 'merchant and captain of militia.'
After his death in 1884, Lady Schuster married secondly on 11 January 1886 Lieuenant-General the Honourable Hussey Fane Keane.
Lady Isabella Keane died after a long illness, aged 74, on 4 August 1906 at her residence 4 Cromwell Place, Kensington. She left effects valued at £7040.
She was the author of Hands, Not Hearts, published in London in 1878.
