Samuel Leo Schuster
(1831-1884)

Samuel Leo Schuster was the son of the railway entrepreneur Leo Schuster, director of the London-Brighton railway.

On 11 October 1858 he married Lady Isabella Emma Elizabeth Fitzmaurice, daughter of the 5th Earl of Orkney.

At the time of the 1861 census, Schuster gave his profession as 'merchant and captain of militia' and his age as 30, which would mean that he was born in or about 1831.

Samuel Leo Schuster died, aged 54, on 23 December 1884 at his residence, 2 Cavendish Square, London. He was buried in the churchyard at Taplow in Buckinghamshire. He left an estate valued at £187,320 (subsequenly resworn at £185,369).
