Admiral Sir George Francis Seymour

Born on 17 September 1787, George Francis Seymour was the son of Admiral Lord Hugh Seymour and Lady Anne Horatia Waldegrave. In February 1811 he married Georgiana Mary Berkeley, daughter of Admiral the Honourable Sir George Cranfield Berkeley and Lady Emilia Charlotte Lennox.

Admiral Sir George Francis Seymour was invested as a Knight Commander, Hanoverian Order (KCH). He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (KCB). He gained the rank of Admiral of the Fleet in the service of the Royal Navy. He died on 20 January 1870 at the age of 82.
