Viscount Maidstone is the courtesy title of the eldest son of the Earl of Winchilsea.

George William Heneage Finch-Hatton was born on 26 December 1852. He was the son of George James Finch, 11th Earl of Winchilsea and Lady Constance Henrietta Paget. On 28 December 1876 he married Louisa Augusta Jenkinson, daughter of Sir George Samuel Jenkinson, 11th Bt. and Emily Sophia née Lyster.

Viscount Maidstone died on 3 February 1879 at the age of 26. His death was announced in several newspapers. 'We regreat to announce the premature death of Viscount Maidstone, who died at the Earl of Winchilsea's residence in Victoria-street, at a quarter past 6 o'clock yesterday morning. His lordship, who had been in delicate health for some time past, having gone, just before the death of his mother, to the Cape of Good Hope to recruit his health, was only taken seriously ill on Thursday last. The deceased, George William Heneage, Viscount Maidstone, was the only son of the Earl of Winchilsea and Nottingham, by his deceased wife Lady Constance Henrietta Paget, second daughter of Henry, second Marquis of Anglesey, and was born 26th December, 1852, consequently he was only twenty-six years of age. His lordship married in December, 1876, Louisa Augusta, youngest daughter of Sir George S. Jenkinson, Bart., MP' (Gloucester Citizen, 4 February 1879).
