Miss Anna and Miss Lucy Lee

[Identified as 'Miss Anna and Miss Lucy Lee' in the Silvy daybooks, these are the daughters of the ironmaster and antiquarian John Edward Lee.]

Frances Anna Lee was born in 1849 at Caerleon in Monmouthshire. Lucy Agnes Lee was born in 1855, also at Caerleon. Neither girl ever married. They appear on the 1911 census, living together at 3 Douro Place in Kensington. The household included four servants. 

Lucy Agnes Lee died, aged 74, on 16 December 1929 at Field Place, Liphook, Hampshire. She left an estate valued at £21,618.

Frances Anna Lee died, aged 80, in the same house on 1 April 1930, leaving an estate valued at £23,322.
