Misses Maud, Mabel and Mary Lindsay

Misses Maud, Mabel and Mary Lindsay were the daughters of the politician and army officer Lieutenant-General Sir James Alexander Lindsay (1815-1874), son of the 24th Earl of Crawford. Their mother was Lady Sarah Elizabeth Savile, daughter of John Savile, 3rd Earl of Mexborough.

Maud Isabella Lindsay never married. Mabel Lindsay married Lt. Col. William John Frescheville Ramsden and died on 12 June 1928 at Rogerthorpe Manor, Pontefract. Mary Egidia Lindsay married John Coutts Antrobus, son of Gibbs Antrobus, and died, aged 59, on 1 July 1911 at Eaton Hall, Congleton.
